How it works

Six steps, and none of them involve a call centre.

From first phone call to key in your pocket is usually the same day. Here is exactly what happens, so you know what to expect before you turn up.

01

Tell us roughly what you have

A phone call takes two minutes, or use the size guide if you would rather work it out yourself. Most people need a 10ft container; a three-bedroom house or a car needs a 20ft.

If you are between sizes, take the smaller one. Moving up later costs nothing but a morning.

02

Reserve it, free, for seven days

Reserving holds a specific container in your name. There is no card to enter, no deposit and nothing to cancel — if you change your mind the container simply goes back on the board.

03

Come to the yard and sign

Bring photo ID and a padlock. The paperwork is one page, the first month is paid on the day, and you are shown the container before you commit to it.

We sell padlocks on site if you would rather not buy one in advance.

04

Fit your own padlock

You lock it, you keep the only key. Our staff cannot open your container and we do not hold a spare — that is the whole point of the arrangement.

05

Come and go on your own code

You get a gate code that works 24 hours a day, every day of the year. Drive right up to the doors, load from the boot, leave when you are done.

The office and the phone are staffed Monday to Saturday, 8am to 6pm.

06

Leave with a month’s notice

Tell us you are going, clear the container, take your padlock off. The portal shows you the exact final bill before you commit to the notice, so there are no surprises on the way out.

On the day

What to bring with you.

Nothing complicated. Most people are loading within twenty minutes of arriving.

Photo ID

Driving licence or passport. A bill with your address on it helps if your ID is out of date.

A padlock

A closed-shackle padlock is best. We sell them at the yard.

First month’s rent

Card, cash or bank transfer on the day. No deposit, no admin fee.

A van or a car

You can drive up to the container door, so there is no trolleying things across a car park.

Still deciding

Come and look at one first.

Turn up during office hours at any of the three yards and we will open both sizes so you can stand inside and judge the space yourself. No appointment, no sales pitch.
